Our Commitment to Reducing Carbon Emissions 🌍
At Full Moon Brewworks, we’re passionate about brewing great beer while taking great care of our planet. We recognize the impact of our operations on the environment, and we’re dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint across all aspects of our business. Our sustainability initiatives address all three carbon emission scopes to ensure a comprehensive approach to environmental responsibility
Scope 1: Direct Emissions
At our Mai Khao Beach microbrewery, we’re committed to reducing carbon emissions through solar energy for electricity and transitioning from fossil fuels to LPG in our brewing process. We’ve also transformed brewing by-products like spent grain into compost, minimizing waste and nurturing the environment. Our sustainability efforts extend to water management with innovative wastewater treatment, rainwater harvesting, and comprehensive recycling programs. These initiatives reduce our carbon footprint, conserve resources, and promote a circular brewing process
Scope 2: Indirect Emissions from Purchased Energy
To further cut down on our carbon footprint, we’ve committed to using renewable electricity wherever possible, ensuring our energy use is as green as our beer. We’ve upgraded to energy-efficient equipment and lighting throughout our brewery, reducing our electricity consumption and, consequently, our Scope 2 emissions
Scope 3: Other Indirect Emissions
We’re working hard to reduce emissions across our entire value chain:
- Sustainable Packaging: We’re transitioning to eco-friendly packaging by using paper bottle labels and printing with soy-based ink, cutting out plastic and reducing waste. We’re also testing plant-based, biodegradable six-pack rings that decompose naturally, posing no threat to wildlife.
- Employee and Community Engagement: We encourage sustainable commuting options and educate our team on eco-friendly practices both at work and beyond
